Rabat
Here we are, in Morocco’s capital city, Rabat. Located on the Atlantic Ocean and founded in the 12th Century. Once a haven for 17th Century Barbary pirates, it now houses many foreign embassies and official government buildings. The people move at a faster pace than some of the other places you may have visited during your stay, but they’re lovely just the same. The architecture is a taste of ancient and modern, with Moroccan and French influenced structures about. During your visit, you will have a chance to shop in the Medina (a World Heritage Site); see the Oudayas (Kasbah) and the Hassan Tower; and of course, the Atlantic Ocean. If you feel like you need a moment of peace after all of this, you can visit the Assouna Mosque, the Rabbi Shalom Zawi Synagogue or the St. Peter's Cathedral. Be on the lookout, you might catch a glimpse of King Mohammed VI!
